Following a three-month search, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona (BCBSAZ) has named Anderson Direct & Digital as its creative agency of record for all media channels, increasing its previous direct marketing responsibilities, BCBSAZ announced today from Phoenix.

"An important factor was our existing successful relationship with BCBSAZ,” Matthew Downey, vice president at Anderson, said. “To me, there is nothing better than becoming a true extension of our clients' marketing teams, and that is exactly what we have with BCBSAZ."

Going forward, the agency will execute strategy, creative and campaign work across all media channels including television, radio, digital, direct mail, outdoor and print advertising.

"Anderson listens to our needs and works to thoroughly understand the Arizona marketplace,” BCBSAZ‘s Vice President for Marketing Jennifer Kaufman said. “Their responsiveness and innovation made them a good fit for what we are trying to accomplish."

Founded in 1985, Anderson Direct & Digital has been ranked as one of the top 20 full-service direct and digital marketing agencies in the nation by DM News. In addition to providing business and consumer marketing for many leading brands, the Anderson agency has more than two decades of health insurance marketing experience and is currently providing marketing services to Blue Cross Blue Shield clients in 20 states.

BCBSAZ is Arizona’s largest health insurance firm. The company was founded in 1939 and provides health insurance products, services or networks to 1.3 million individuals, employing over 1,300 Arizonans through offices in Phoenix, Flagstaff, Tucson and the East Valley.
