Tempe-based American Green, Inc. said Tuesday it is forming a joint venture with licensed Arizona medical marijuana products dispensary Natural Herbal Remedies (NHR), to manage a dispensary and harvest facility.

The parties will form American Green - Arizona for NHR to manufacture American Green medical marijuana products. American Green will help NHR with production and expansion of NHR's existing formulations line, American Green President Stephen Shearin said.

"In the last year, we looked at numerous potential partners to expand our opportunities in Arizona," NHR Partner Sheelah Golliglee said. “In the end, American Green won our hearts and we're excited to develop our partnership.”

“We have been very successful working with several patients at Children's Hospitals in Phoenix - providing custom formulations under the direction of their care givers,” Golliglee said, noting how children with seizure-related illness can benefit from medical marijuana and citing the recent “Baby Ethan” case as an example.

A weekly online “420 Report”, filmed and produced at American Green’s Tempe studio by Media Director Will Harris, conveys “the good, the bad, and the fascinating,” keeping the company’s 50,000 shareholders and viewers updated with domestic and global legal cannabis business news.

"The quest has just begun,” Shearin said. “American Green has set its sights on becoming the brand of choice for patients and consumers in search of quality medicine and recreational products across the United States – from 'Seed to Shining Seed.' Our intentions could not be made more clear … we intend to become nationally renowned for our brands and messaging.”
