Under an agreement with the Arizona Pharmacy Association (APA), MedPro Waste Disposal LLC has become the association’s preferred provider of medical waste disposal, pharmaceutical disposal and OSHA compliance training services, MedPro announced today from Naperville, Illinois, headquarters.

The contract means that all APA members will now use MedPro’s services.

“We are very excited to be able to offer our services and savings to the members of the Arizona Pharmacy Association and look forward to working with the association as well,” MedPro CEO George Shanine said.

The APA serves all pharmacy professionals and all practice settings in the state, standing as the voice of pharmacy in Arizona. The APA promotes safe, effective medication therapy and innovative practices, facilitating its members’ abilities to serve the public through continuing education training.

MedPro Waste Disposal, established in 2009 as a low-cost alternative provider of medical waste disposal services for association members, has instituted a world-class, online OSHA compliance training program and provides a pharmaceutical waste disposal mail back service, a first of its kind.

With a presence in 44 states via direct routes and local hauling partnerships, MedPro provides risk-mitigating solutions for health care facilities nationwide, handling potentially infectious waste materials -- such as used sharps, soiled linens or garments -- in accordance with nationwide law to prevent risk to public safety.
