Tempe's Bridgeway Health Solutions, a subsidiary of Centene Corporation, recently honored Optum Clinical Service Manager Patti Summers with its 2015 Physician Summit Award for Excellence.

The annual award, sponsored by The Centene Foundation for Quality Healthcare since 2008, identifies an outstanding health care provider for exemplary service and quality of care given to plan members.

"We are proud to honor Dr. Summers with the 2015 Centene Summit Award for Excellence in Care for her commitment to improving the many lives she touches in the community," Bridgeway President and CEO Paul Barnes said. "Dr. Summers is passionate in the care she provides and serves as an inspiration to aspiring clinicians she mentors."

Bridgeway Health Solutions’ Chief Medical Officer and Director Robert Krauss and Vice President of Medical Management Susan Benedetti presented Summers with the award at a recent luncheon.

“With the Centene Summit Award for Excellence in Care, we thank Dr. Summers for her dedication to health care outcomes improvement. Her service to our members represents the best in quality medical care," Krauss said.
