Yir Gloria Yueh

Yir Gloria Yueh, chairman of the biochemistry department at Midwestern University's Glendale campus, was promoted last week to associate dean of the university's basic science division.

Yueh has been part of the Midwestern University faculty since 1997. She has a background in chemical engineering, with studies at the University of Connecticut, the Mayo Clinic and National Taiwan University.

Midwestern University is graduate university focused on health sciences education. The school teaches more than 6,000 students on campuses in Glendale, Arizona, and Downers Grove, Illinois. The school's Arizona campus includes the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine, the College of Pharmacy-Glendale, the College of Health Sciences, the College of Dental Medicine-Arizona, the Arizona College of Optometry and the College of Veterinary Medicine.
