Arizona Corporation Commission to discuss Tucson Electric Power rate plan

The Arizona Corporation Commission will hold a special open meeting Aug. 31 to receive comments about Tucson Electric Power Company's application for approval on a renewable energy plan and on the establishment of a reasonable rate plan.

The public is invited to attend and comment on the Renewable Energy State Implementation Plan as well as on potential rates and charges proposed by the power company. Commissioners may ask questions of the electric company during this meeting as well.

The meeting will be held from 6-8 pm. at Tucson High School, 400 N. Second Ave.

No substantive voting will take place during this commenting session. As with other meetings, the commission may choose to move to executive session, which is not open to the public.
