The Arizona Corporation Commission will hold a special open meeting Friday, Aug. 26, to discuss a proposed water-rate hike by Clear Springs Utility Company.

The meeting will be held from 5-7 p.m. at Sun Sites Community Center, 1216 Treasure Road, in Pearce.

Members of the public are invited to attend and comment on the proposed increase in water rates requested by Clear Springs Utility Company. Commissioners may ask questions of the utility company regarding the request for the rate hike. Members of the general public may also comment on this matter specifically.

No votes on matters of substance will take place during this meeting. However, the corporation commission may choose to move to executive session, which would not be open to the public.
