Choice Hotels International Inc. a global hotel company, has teamed up with Boys & Girls Clubs of America to help renovate the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale's Virginia G. Piper branch this week.

"Choice Hotels places great value in the building of relationships, whether it's through travel or a local community organization, and Boys & Girls Clubs are an excellent champion of nurturing those relationships," Steve Joyce, president and CEO, Choice Hotels, said. "As a Boys & Girls Clubs alum, this is an organization near and dear to my heart. I can testify to the positive impact it has had on my life, and I'm looking forward to our company playing a role in helping to build the future of Boys & Girls Clubs."

Approximately 75 volunteers from the Choice Hotels corporate headquarters in Scottsdale are helping members of the Boys & Girls Clubs renovate the facility by painting, installing new furnishings and landscaping around the building.

The Piper branch serves approximately 200 youth daily, offering adult mentors and programs focusing on healthy lifestyles and academic success.
