Rawhide Western Town and Event Center has officially opened for its fourth annual Rawhide Snowy Christmas event.

Everything will be decked out with holiday decor and thousands of lights through Dec. 23.

Holiday festivities occur nightly during general public hours: 5-10 p.m Fridays, noon-10 p.m. Saturdays and noon-8 p.m. Sundays. Rawhide is open on Thanksgiving Day starting at 11 a.m. Admission and parking are free, except during special events.

Every weekend, Santa leads the official tree lighting ceremony around 6 p.m. and will be available for photos.

Visitors can drop off letters to Santa at Rawhide’s “Delivery to the SW Pole” post office; every child who sends Santa a letter will receive a reply from Santa.

Rawhide's specialty shops and boutiques are stocked full for the season with many Western-themed gifts, leather goods, jewelry, apparel and home decor. Sweet Sally’s candy store offers stocking stuffers such as homemade fudge and old fashioned treats.

Rawhide will host a holiday brunch menu at 10 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 11, in the Steakhouse. Book reservations online or by calling 480-502-5600.

The Rawhide Western Town & Event Center is at 5700 West North Loop Road in Chandler. For more information, visit www.rawhide.com.
