The city of Tempe and Valley Metro are offering an opportunity to meet the artists chosen to create art for Tempe Streetcar, the Valley’s first modern streetcar, at a gathering from 6-7:30 p.m. Dec. 5 at the Tempe Transportation Center in the Don Cassano Room, 200 E. 5th St. in Tempe.

The new streetcar's route will have 14 stops, each incorporating an art theme conveyed by the surrounding businesses, neighborhoods and landmarks. At the "meet the artists" event, the community is invited to view works from the artists, speak with the artists and learn about their plans and their artistic visions for the streetcar route.
