An Arizona Realtor recently explained how networking can influence success.

Ivan Valdez said he has closed on 11 homes over the past year, which puts him halfway to his goal of 22, according to a blog post. Valdez credits his relationship with Panda Express, saying that he receives numerous referrals from the business.

"I worked for Panda Express for over 14 years as a general manager, so I know most of the GMs in the stores," Valdez said in the post.

Valdez said that the mission statement of Panda Express resonates with him, which is "an organization where people are inspired to better their lives."

He said he takes the time to visit three locations and speak with the general managers there, leaving his business card and offering to help with real estate inquiries. Valdez spends time asking general managers about what they are spending their time doing and what they are investing their lives in, he said in the post.

"I believe that in this business it's not all just about networking, but calculated networking — connecting to those who trust and know you," Valdez said.
