Phoenix’s Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak Resort hosted board members at the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce’s (GPCC) recent Annual Luncheon featuring a slate of new officers and eight new members.

Heading the 2017-18 team as board chairman will be JPMorgan Chase executive Michael McCann, who follows previous chair Daniel Froetscher of APS. Phyllis Senseman, vice president of marketing and communications for CopperPoint Insurance Companies, will become chair-elect, according to a chamber press release.

“I’m very excited for the opportunity to work with exemplary Arizona business leaders while serving as Greater Phoenix Chamber board chair,” McCann said in the release.

The board comprises eight additional new members, including Brent Cannon, executive vice president and director of community banking for National Bank of Arizona; Rick Dircks, executive vice president at Dircks Moving & Logistics; Jose Esparza Jr., vice president of energy solutions for Southwest Gas Corp.; Chris Harrison, executive vice president and general manager, The Weitz Co.; Michelle Just, president/CEO, Beatitudes Campus; Doris Savron, executive dean for University of Phoenix College of Health Professions; Kevin Sellers, chief marketing officer at Avnet Inc.; and David Tupponce, CEO of Abrazo Scottsdale Campus.

The newly installed board will officially begin their terms on July 1, according to the release.
