The Tucson Metro Chamber has named the finalists for its Copper Cactus Awards.

Barbi Reuter from Cushman & Wakefield, Ali Farhang and Tim Medcoff of Farhang & Medcoff, Sandi Eghtesadi, The Eghtesadi Agency – Farmer’s Insurance and Kimberly Clifton of Tierra Antigua Realty are all up for the CopperPoint Small Business Leader of the Year award.

Other categories of the awards include Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona Best Place to Work, Cenpatico Integrated Care Workforce Development, Cox Business Growth, Nextrio Innovation, Tucson Electric Power Charitable Non-Profit Business.

Tucson Metro Chamber President and CEO Michael Varney said the awards are a good opportunity to acknowledge local companies.

“Small businesses do amazing things in our metro area, but often don’t receive the recognition they deserve. Collectively, small businesses are the biggest employer we have," Varney said in a press release. "The Tucson Metro Chamber Copper Cactus Awards presented by Wells Fargo is a night when the spotlight shines brightly on these companies for all they do to make our area all that it is.”

Businesses nominated for the awards are required to be locally owned and be operated with three to 250 employees for over two years.
