Phoenix-based Prestamos CDFI LLC is teaming up with the city of Avondale to help local entrepreneurs achieve tangible goals through the Avondale Small Business Lending Program.

All business owners in historic Avondale, Cashion, Las Ligas and Rio Vista are qualified to apply for funding of up to $50,000 to rehabilitate buildings, buy furnishings and fixtures and purchase equipment and to use as general working capital.

“We are excited about this opportunity for our small businesses in the revitalization neighborhoods,” Keisha Cyriaano, who serves as Avondale's neighborhood revitalization manager, said in a press release. “Partnering with Prestamos expands the support and resources we provide to help our small businesses achieve their goals.”

Prestamos CDFI partners with Arizona and national organizations, specializing in nontraditional financing. The organization said the program will be accessible year-round, depending on available funding. Businesses meeting requirements will obtain individual technical assistance as well as capital.

For more information on the application process, eligibility or paperwork, contact Cyriaano at kcyriaano@avondaleaz.gov or call 623-333-2725.
