CITY OF AVONDALE: Avondale to hold public design input meeting for Festival Fields skate park and pump track on Aug. 7
The Avondale Parks and Recreation Department will be holding a public design meeting with representatives of the American Ramp Company to discuss designs for a new skate park and a pump track at Festival Fields Park. The meeting will take place on Tuesday, August 7 from 6-7:30 p.m. at Avondale City Hall.
The City of Avondale's Neighborhood & Family Services Department is asking the community to help support its annual Back to School Backpack Program which provides pre-kindergarten through eighth-grade students with supplies for the upcoming school year.
In an effort to fill the shelves of local food banks, Avondale Public Library will accept non-perishable food items in exchange for fines through its Food for Fines program.
The event will take place on April 28 at the CVS Pharmacy at 280 N. Avondale Blvd.
The U.S. based company will employ 50 people at the facility and plans to be fully operational by April.
The U.S. State Department will increase passport application fees from $25 to $35 as of April 2.
The Healthy Arizona Worksites Program will honor the City of Avondale with a HAWP Gold Award, which is given to businesses and organizations that excel in implementing health initiatives in the workplace.
