The Phoenix-based Arizona Commerce Authority (ACA) recently launched a grassroots statewide project to craft a fresh, unified message to promote Arizona development and tourism, nurture civic pride and engage public participation.
“Arizona has an incredible amount to offer in terms of business opportunity, quality of life and more,” ACA President and CEO Sandra Watson said. “This effort will allow us to build a brand which communicates the unmatched Arizona experience to the rest of the world.”
To examine perceptions of the state, the initiative will solicit input from leaders both in and outside of Arizona, with plans to conduct workshops and create other forums among business, community and education stakeholder groups. The ACA team plans to travel throughout the state to gather a diverse array of viewpoints.
“There is so much to love about our state, and I’m excited about engaging Arizonans in the process of bringing their ideas together,” Gov. Doug Ducey said. “We are thinking big in Arizona, and this is much more than a marketing tool. I am committed to making Arizona the best place to live, work and start a business, and this project will help us communicate all we have to offer in those continued efforts.”
Branding strategy work will be conducted by Arizona-based Heasley & Partners, which was selected through a bid process.
