GlobalMed, a Scottsdale, Arizona-based telemedicine solutions company, welcomed three new members to its board of directors on Wednesday.

Joining the board as the new chairman is Dr. Jacque Sokolov, chairman and CEO of SSB Solutions, Inc. and Healthcare Community Development Group, LLC. He has worked with top-tier academic health centers, hospital systems, health plans, physician organizations, emerging technology companies and private equity firms in major health care sectors and markets.

International leadership coach Conrad Prusak, serving on international corporate boards and management teams, has been named vice-chairman of the GlobalMed board of directors. Prusak is master chair for Vistage International, a peer advisory group firm.

GlobalMed CEO Joel E. Barthelemy is the third appointee to the board. Under his leadership, GlobalMed has improved the delivery of health care in more than 55 countries with a delivery system enabling nearly 3 million telemedicine consults annually.

“Our new chair and vice-chair bring phenomenal talent to our leadership team and great value to our clients worldwide,” Barthelemy said. “With these thought leaders involved in telemedicine innovation, streamlined health care delivery is immediately improved.”
