The Accelerate Arizona Roadshow has two out of its five events open to the public remaining, Wednesday and Thursday in Kingman and Dec. 3-4 in Yuma.

Facing a deficit, the Arizona Highway Users Revenue Fund is receiving support from the Arizona Chamber of Commerce and local chambers and associations, which have formed Accelerate Arizona to bring attention to statewide transportation needs. The purpose is to learn about the unique transportation needs within each part of the state.

“Most of the people who have provided input during our tour have been people highly informed on the transportation needs in their areas," state Rep. Rick Gray (R-Sun City) said. "Of course, having media reporting in the various locations on our meetings has helped get the information out to the people in those areas. The feedback from people who have heard about it from the media, as well as the people who were present at the meeting, has all been very positive."

According to Gray, two priorities at the moment are the situation on Interstate 17 from Flagstaff to Phoenix and the Nogales area.
