Recognizing exemplary Valley businesses for their impact on the greater Phoenix business community, the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce seeks nominations for its 2016 IMPACT Awards through Jan. 8.

Anyone can submit a nomination. The chamber plans to honor two businesses—one large and one small—in each of four categories: Community Champion, Economic Driver, Entrepreneurial Excellence and Response to Adversity.

Additionally, a Business of the Year will be chosen from within each sector, to be announced at the Chamber’s 29th Annual IMPACT Awards Luncheon on May 18. A new addition in this year’s lineup is the IMPACTful Nonprofit Award, open to 501-(c)-3 nonprofit groups.

The Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce has honored local enterprises that display outstanding success while also staying closely involved in the community, reveal excellent entrepreneurship, exhibit survival of adversity or stimulate the valley’s economy.

“The Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce has celebrated exemplary businesses in the valley for nearly three decades and it is an honor to continue this great tradition,” Todd Sanders, GPCC president and CEO, said. “We are proud to recognize the outstanding achievements of local companies whose innovation, economic impact, entrepreneurial spirit and leadership move our state forward and make a positive impact on the Greater Phoenix business community.”

GPCC urges residents to consider nominating deserving organizations with strong presence. All nominations can be submitted through the chamber’s website at www.phoenixchamber.com.
