Arizona Governor Doug Ducey rolled out the red carpet for the Clemson Tigers and Alabama Crimson Tide at a welcome reception for the two teams held last night in Phoenix.

"Glad to have @ClemsonFB and Coach Dabo Swinney #Arizona for the @CFBPlayoff championship," tweeted Ducey.

Clemson football also noted the meeting, posting the following Tweet: "Wrapped up our first day in AZ with our team meeting & welcome reception, where we met Arizona governor Doug Ducey!"

"Welcomed Coach Nick Saban and the @AlabamaFTBL team to #Arizona tonight," he wrote in a separate Tweet.

The Tigers and Crimson Tide will play each other for the College Football National Championship this Monday, January 11, 2016 at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, AZ.
