Amendola Communications has added two new clients.

Scottsdale-based Amendola Communications said recently it has added health information exchanges from New Orleans and California to its growing client list.

Amendola Communications' newest clients are the Greater New Orleans Health Information Exchange (GNOHIE), which improves care and reduces costs via secure patient data exchange; and the California Integrated Data Exchange (Cal INDEX), an independent nonprofit developing a statewide health information exchange combining clinical health care provider and insurer data into streamlined patient records.

"This is the fourth opportunity I had to select and work with the team at Amendola," Cal INDEX Vice President of Marketing and Business Development Doug Hart said. “Their focus and knowledge in the health care vertical has exceeded my needs at each company I've worked.”

Amendola Communications is a public relations, content creation and marketing communications firm serving the health care, health care IT, pharmaceutical and high tech markets.

"It is a pleasure to team with organizations like Cal INDEX and the GNOHIE that are working hard to improve the health of their communities," Amendola Communications CEO Jodi Amendola said. "We are immensely proud that our experience and strategic guidance can be leveraged by organizations focused on addressing interoperability challenges to enable better outcomes."

Previously, Amendola developed the Web presence and support for the statewide Arizona Health-e Connection, including branding, public relations and broad marketing efforts.

"Amendola Communications generated 10 million impressions for our consumer campaign in just over one month and exceeded all our expectations," Arizona Health-e Connection Marketing and Communications leader Tom Reavis said. “Plus their overall knowledge of the health care delivery system and health information technology were a significant bonus."
