U.S. Rep. Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) said legislation recently approved by the House will benefit small-business owners in Arizona and their businesses endeavors.
The Capitol Markets Improvement Act aims to improve capital markets and reduce burdens on small businesses as well as update Securities and Exchange Commission regulations.
Sinema has worked with U.S. Rep. Robert Hurt (R-VA) in an attempt to update the SEC regulations which seem inapplicable and outdated to the modern business owner. Sinema pledges to continue collaborating with individuals through processes such as job creation and economic growth, as well as cost reduction.
Up until now, Arizona business owners have struggled to manage their companies due to what they consider to be confusing regulations and processes. Among the difficulties they face are obstacles that get in the way of hiring new employees and growing their companies, both which are important factors when running a small business.
The Capitol Markets Improvement Act aims to decrease some of the obstacles.
“This commonsense legislation requires the SEC to improve and repeal outdated regulations, holding them accountable and providing certainty for Arizona businesses and consumers," Sinema said.
