U.S. Rep. Paul Gosar

U.S. Rep. Paul Gosar (R-AZ) recently criticized the Environmental Protection Agency after a report from the Center for Regulatory Solutions (CRS), a project of the Small Business Entrepreneurship Council (SBE Council), detailed the economic impact of the EPA’s new lower federal ozone standard.

Gosar said the EPA's new standard for ozone levels is an overstepping of the EPA and will bring far more damage than good. Arizonans stand to lose jobs and the economy will suffer, Gosar said.

"This blatant overreach, not based on the best available science, will kill tens of thousands of jobs annually and cause more harm to our economy than any regulation in the history of this great country," Gosar said.

Gosar believes the EPA was not organized in the decision, as their actions will effectively result in the Arizonans being punished for the condition of the ozone levels of the state.

Gosar said the agency was lawless in actions and decisions and praised the CRS, which fought the EPA on the initiative.

"I applaud the Center for Regulatory Solutions for their work on this issue and for exposing the significant economic harm that will occur in Arizona as a result of EPA’s terrible new regulation," Gosar said.
