Green Heart Academies chooses builder for new campus.

Great Heart Academies will be constructing a new campus in Phoenix and recently chose Adolfson & Peterson Construction (AP) to tackle the project.

The new campus at 32nd Street and Hearn Road will include a three-building, 96,000-square-foot kindergarten through 12th-grade campus. One building will be for kindergarten through sixth-grade classroom space. The second building will for seventh- through 12th-grade classroom space, and the third building will be dedicated to administration and a gymnasium.

Through the construction process, Adolfson & Peterson will collaborate with the Nations group, Arizona’s education leader, as well as Studio Ma Architects.

The gymnasium will include a weight room and locker rooms and a wood-floored basketball gym.

Additionally, athletes will benefit from a football field with parking and sports lighting.

“AP has a long-standing commitment to the Arizona education market and delivering innovative learning environments is a cornerstone to our business," Adolfson & Peterson’s Project Executive Curtis McFarland said.

The construction will begin in August and the campus is expected to open in August 2017.
