ABCO Energy Inc. will install solar panels on the roofs of a new Phoenix parking garage, one of five projects of its kind expected to be completed by the end of this year.

The latest structure will have a capacity of 68.04 kilowatts.

Company officials said the project demonstrates an ongoing commitment to commercial solar power projects.

"ABCO has already completed the contracted steel construction and is now installing the solar electrical system, and we are excited that our development of commercial projects has continued uninterrupted for the last two years," ABCO Energy President Charles O'Dowd said. "At all times since 2013 we have had one or more of these solar shade structures in our production schedule and at times more than one. Commercial solar construction is definitely the future of ABCO Energy, Inc."

The project is expected to provide all the power needs for the parking structure while bringing in $286,000 in revenue for the company.
