The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs' Center for Verification and Evaluation recently recognized Scottsdale-based GlobalMed as a veteran-owned small business.

This designation means GlobalMed, a provider of integrated telemedicine solutions, will be added to the VA’s Vendor Information Pages and is authorized to promote its verified status on its website and marketing materials for the next two years.

“This is a major milestone for any veteran-owned company,” GlobalMed CEO and Founder Joel Barthelemy, served honorably in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves. said. “It has taken a team effort, and I’m very proud of our ability to provide cutting-edge products that translate into cost savings and improved outcomes for our valued veterans.”

GlobalMed telemedicine solutions are used throughout the VA health care system, with 2,000 installations in 150 medical centers and nearly 1,000 outpatient clinics. GlobalMed serves medical institutions, corporations and government organizations worldwide

“This designation demonstrates the company’s ongoing commitment to providing expanded access, improved quality and exceptional health care to our country’s veterans,” Jacque Sokolov, board chairman of GlobalMed, said. “It is what our veterans expect, what they deserve and what GlobalMed is committed to deliver.”
