Phoenix Children’s Hospital was recently placed on U.S. News & World Report’s 2016-17 Best Children’s Hospitals list and is the only Arizona hospital to make the prestigious list.

U.S. News & World Report ranks children’s hospitals annually based on clinical expertise and patient outcomes in 10 medical specialties. For the first time, Phoenix Children's Hospital has ranked in all categories. It is one of only 25 hospitals in the country to make the list in all 10 specialty areas.

“This acknowledgement by U.S. News & World Report recognizes Phoenix Children’s as one of the best pediatric health care organizations in the country,” Robert Meyer, president and CEO of the hospital, said. “I offer sincere congratulations to our entire staff and physicians for their role in achieving this milestone. We’re delighted U.S. News & World Report has recognized our outstanding team again this year in 10 out of 10 specialties.”

The scoring on the list reflects patient outcomes and the care-related resources available at each hospital. To gather clinical data, clinical questionnaires were sent to 183 pediatric hospitals.
