The Arizona Department of Revenue has made changes to Transaction Privilege Tax (TPT) licensing and reporting, required by law, effective last month.

Businesses should file TPT returns online at http://www.AZTaxes.gov

.

One of the key changes is that all businesses must use location-based reporting when submitting TPT returns. Each business licensed with the Department of Revenue will receive a location code identifying the physical location where the business operates.

The department strongly encourages all taxpayers to file online for faster filing and processing. Businesses with more than one physical location in Arizona must file TPT returns electronically via http://www.AZTaxes.gov. The department aims to eventually eliminate all paper TPT transactions.
