$30,000 in scholarship funds up for grabs in Arizona milk mustache photo contest

Arizona dairy farmers are offering $30,000 in scholarships this year through the annual Arizona Milk Producers Scholarship Contest.

Arizona residents who are or will be enrolled in a post-secondary school are eligible for one of three scholarships: the first-place winner will receive a $12,000 scholarship; the second-place winner receives $10,000; and the third-place winner receives $8,000.

"Arizona dairy farmers are committed to providing farm-fresh, high-quality milk to Arizona families," Tammy Baker, general manager for Arizona Milk Producers (AMP), said. "They know milk and other dairy products fuel the body for an active, healthy lifestyle and are proud to fuel students' continuing education through this contest."

To be eligible, students should upload a photo of their best milk mustache to Instagram, tagging @azmilkproducers and using the hashtag #ampscholarshipcontest. The photo must feature a dairy product such as milk, yogurt or cheese as well. Participating students must also specify which weekly prize they desire by using hashtags #fuel, #fun or #food. Applicants are encouraged to submit creative photos.

From September through Nov. 21, a weekly finalist will be drawn who will receive a $100 gift card for food, fun or fuel, plus a pair of tickets to the Fiesta Bowl. The top three scholarship winners will be announced during the Fiesta Bowl.

Scholarship entrants must be Arizona residents eligible for the 2017 school year or enrolled with a minimum of 12 credit hours at an Arizona university. Please visit www.arizonamilk.org/scholarship for full details and rules.
