Arizona Corporation Commission plans Oct. 18 meeting to hear gas companies' winter plans

The Arizona Corporation Commission (ACC) will hold a special open meeting the morning of Oct. 18 to listen to and comment on winter-preparedness plans from various gas and pipeline companies.

The meeting, open to the general public, will be held at 10 a.m. in hearing room one on the first floor of the ACC building, 1200 W. Washington St. in Phoenix.

No voting will take place at this meeting. As with other ACC meetings, commissioners may vote to move to executive session to discuss matters privately.

Propane, natural gas and pipeline companies -- such as Southwest Gas Corporation, Alliant Gas, UNS Gas, Kinder Morgan-El Paso Natural Gas and Questar Southern Trails Pipeline -- will discuss ways they are preparing for winter. A public commenting period will follow the presentations.
