The Arizona Technology Council (ATC) said Monday that Vice President of Operations and Events Leigh Goldstein is being promoted to chief operations officer and vice president of programs and events.

“Leigh has been an outstanding member of our organization and a key contributor to our growth over the past eight years,” ATC President and CEO Steven Zylstra said. “He is a high-energy individual with tremendous organizational skills and operates as a true team player. We are grateful for his hard work and congratulate him on this well-deserved promotion.”

In his new role, Goldstein, who joined ATC in 2008, will oversee internal operations, some aspects of human resource and sales and programming of events. He will coordinate more than 160 events throughout the year, including the Governor’s Celebration of Innovation.

“I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with such a strong, dedicated team committed to supporting Arizona’s technology sector,” Goldstein said. “As we continue to execute on our initiatives, I look forward to remaining focused on the needs of our members.”

Before joining the ATC, he was the promotions manager for ad agency Media Impressions. He has also been the marketing director for the Harlem Globetrotters and promotions coordinator for the Phoenix Coyotes NHL team.
