The city of Chandler recently recognized the Chandler Chamber of Commerce and Chamber President and CEO Terri Kimble for the chamber's mission to advance Chandler's business community.

"Terri Kimble, her staff and chamber membership continue to keep the best interests of the Chandler business community moving forward," Chandler Mayor Jay Tibshraeny said. "This award is just a small token of the council's appreciation for all of the work being done to keep Chandler great."

This is the first award of its kind given from the city, taking Kimble by surprise.

"I was at the council meeting to present the chamber's How We Stand booklet and afterwards Mayor Tibshraeny and councilmember Terry Roe presented the award," Kimble said. "We are very appreciative of their consideration; this truly means so much to our board of directors, our staff and our membership."

The Chandler Chamber of Commerce represents more than 1,400 businesses and is the third largest chamber in Arizona.
