Two Arizona educational leaders are scheduled to speak about education, economic development and the anticipated future at the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce’s Valley Voices event Jan. 24 at the GateWay Community College Washington Campus.

Arizona State University President Michael Crow and Maricopa Community College Chancellor Maria Harper-Marinick are scheduled to discuss the tie between higher education and growing the economy, Jill Brownley, director of marketing and communication for the chamber, said in a news release.

Arizona Community Foundation CEO Steve Seleznow will serve as moderator.

In addition to the prepared topics, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a Q&A session with the educational leaders after the panel discussion, Brownley said.

The college hopes the discussion, as led by two major leaders in the state, will lead the college students to “take an active role in economic development and public policy to advocate, promote and grow the local economy,” Brownley said.

Tickets for chamber members are $30. If you are not a member, the cost is $40. For questions contact events@phoenixchamber.com
