ASU's West campus hosts Black History Month events

Arizona State University is proud to be hosting a couple of artistic events to celebrate February’s Black History Month on the West campus.

Arizona State University is proud to host two artistic events to celebrate Black History Month on the West campus.

The events will be held through Feb. 23 from noon to 5 p.m.

The first is "The Collection: Artworks by African American Artists from the Valley of the Sun," featuring paintings, sculptures and other works by African-American artists from the Phoenix area, including Valerie Fair, Kris Rhymes, Jackie Muhammad and Lowaunz Farrow.

The second event, Stage West, will feature the “Permanent Collection," a play by Thomas Gibbons. This event is an “Itheatre Collaborative” and presents events at an art store owned by an African-American.
