The Pima County Swim Team program is still accepting registrations for the 2017 summer season for teams at six area pools, a release on the Pima County website said.

The program is open to children 5-18 years of age. The registration fee of $20 includes all practices and swim meets. Children 10 and under must be able to swim 25 yards unassisted. Those 11 and older must be able to swim 50 yards unassisted.

Swim team practices will begin May 30 and continue through the season which will end with the Championship Meet on July 22. Competitions will be held Saturdays beginning June 10.

Registration will continue on a space available basis until June 18. Teams will range from 60 to 100 participants depending on the size of the pool. Full teams will place interested children on a wait list to fill any early withdrawals.
