Area residents can learn about current cybersecurity issues from a special agent with the Phoenix FBI Cyber Crime Division on May 19.

The event will be from noon-1 p.m. at the AZCOMP Technologies Inc., 2500 S. Power Road, Suite 117 in Mesa.

Featuring Special Agent Paul Schaaf, the Lunch n Learn occasion will give small business owners and practitioners an opportunity to hear about the latest topics in cybersecurity matters. Attendees will also receive suggestions for maintaining online safety for their enterprises, including what measures can be put in place to prevent cyber attacks.

Schaaf has been with the FBI since 2003. He has a bachelor’s degree in finance and a master’s in computer information systems. For over 20 years, he has worked with computer systems in the finance sector, particularly in the areas of extortion, civil rights, computer intrusion and spam, national security and intellectual property matters. Schaaf has additional experience with Innocent Images cases involving nationwide undercover operations.
