The Eastmark community in Mesa, which averages 82 home sales monthly, has been named among the nation’s top 20 best-selling master-planned areas.

In the first six months of 2017, 502 new properties were sold, which matches figures for entire years previously. The distinction — calculated by real estate advisory firm Robert Charles Lesser & Co. — placed Eastmark at No. 1 in Arizona for the third consecutive year and No. 6 nationwide.

“In the competitive Phoenix East Valley market, Eastmark stands apart because of its high quality, connected living,” Dea McDonald, general manager for Eastmark and senior vice president for DMB Associates Inc., said in a press release. “Our plan and design for Eastmark is thoughtful and deliberately flexible so we can grow organically to respond and deliver to the needs of the marketplace and to our homeowners over time.”

Data from Home Builders Association of Central Arizona confirmed that Mesa surpassed Phoenix in new home permits for the month of May as the city thrives with growing business and industry to support residential projects.

“This is our widest selection of home options to date, and homebuyers have an excellent opportunity to find the best home size, style, floorplan and value to fit their lifestyle,” Garilyn Bourgeois, Eastmark’s marketing director, said.

The community has begun to initiate recreational and cultural activities, including parade, fireworks and concert activity, the release said.
