Retail redevelopment specialist Red Mountain Group (RMG) recently completed a $5 million renovation of Mesa’s 130,000-square-foot shopping center at the junction of Main Street and Lindsay Road.

“Red Mountain Group has successfully revitalized this corner of central Mesa,” Mayor John Giles said about the the 15-acre parcel in a press release. “The redesign has updated the look and feel of one of our older retail neighborhoods.”

Built in 1975, the hub formerly served as a single Kmart store until it closed in 2015, paving the way for new investment.

“We are very excited to complete this redevelopment project,” RMG founder and CEO Michael Mugel said in the release. “Bringing new, quality retailers into the shopping center and creating beauty through new architectural design is exactly what we are all about.”

RMG provides consultative and management services, including financing, asset assessment and development procedures, to marketing and hands-on project construction.
