The city of Scottsdale's economic development manager has received the designation of International Certified Economic Developer (CEcD), according to a press release.

Millar attained his certification after satisfying the credentialing and testing requirements established by the International Economic Development Council (IEDC). To obtain this mastery status with the IEDC, Millar had to demonstrate knowledge, proficiency and judgment in key areas of economic development, the release said.

“Rob is an integral member of the Scottsdale economic development team and is dedicated to supporting the development of local businesses while promoting Scottsdale to businesses in other markets,” Danielle Casey, economic development director at Scottsdale Economic Development, said in the release. “Earning the CEcD designation underscores his commitment to and knowledge of all aspects of economic development. Our community is fortunate to benefit from Rob’s experience and dedication to improving employment opportunities in our area.”

His achievement qualifies him to work with public officials, business leaders and community members towards building a successful economic development sector.
