The annual Safety Works Expo will be held Sept. 19 at the Desert Willow Conference Center in Phoenix, presented by CopperPoint Mutual Insurance Co.

The daylong event begins at 7:30 a.m. and concludes at 4 p.m. Desert Willow Conference Center is at 4340 E. Cotton Center Blvd. in Phoenix.

The expo costs $89, which includes four breakout sessions from a diverse list of choices. 

The Gilbert Chamber of Commerce is encouraging local business stakeholders to promote this event and is offering each two free passes along with each individual paid registration.

Diligently practicing workplace safety guidelines not only safeguards workers’ well-being but also contributes to better bottom lines for businesses when it comes to workers compensation costs, according to a chamber announcement.

“Workplace safety is every employer’s and every worker’s responsibility,” the chamber said. “Working safely and injury free helps businesses to keep their work comp costs down and allows workers to go home to their loved ones at the end of their work day.”
