The Chandler Center for the Arts Gallery is hosting the annual Art Quilts exhibit featuring 23 multimedia pieces from 21 different artists.
For the 22nd year in a row, the Chandler Center will feature art quilts with bold colors, textures and patterns at its exhibit with this year’s theme of “as close to the edge as I can go.”
“The quote was given to the artists with the intent to ask each of them to look at their work and be inspired to push their art to the limit,” quilt artist and exhibition juror Sandra Branjord said in a press release. “I was not disappointed. Some of the artists used introspection to make work that defined themselves as creative beings and others used content to make a very big personal statement."
The Art Quilts XXII at the center on North Arizona Avenue will run through Jan. 5, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and on Saturday from noon to 5 p.m.
