The City of Bullhead is now taking applications from volunteers to fill seats on two commissions that deal with the city’s franchise agreements and the city’s public transportation system.

The city is accepting applications from residents who are interested in serving on the Franchise License Commission and the Bullhead Area Transit System (BATS) Commission. The commission openings are due to three commission member terms on the Franchise License Commission expiring on Dec. 31 and a partial term on the BATS Commission which is effective immediately.

The Franchise License Commission, which meets quarterly or on an as-needed basis, gives recommendations to the Bullhead City Council regarding policies, rules and regulations that have to do with the city’s franchise agreements and licenses. The positions on the Franchise License Commission are three-year terms which begin Jan. 1, 2018 and end Dec. 30, 2020.

The BATS Commission works with the development and maintenance of the city’s public transportation system and makes needed recommendations to the Bullhead City Council regarding transportation. The position on the BATS Commission will expire Sept. 30, 2019.

Applications are available online at bullheadcity.co under the Departments, Board of Commissions tabs. Applications are also available at the Bullhead City Clerk’s Office located in City Hall at 2355 Grans Road. For more information contact sstein@bullheadcity.com or call 928-763-9400.
