The city of Goodyear will kick off the holiday season this month with its display of over 1.5 million synchronized lights in a drive-through light show.

The city’s light show, Christmas in Color, will begin Nov. 24 and will feature a combination of twinkling lights and holiday music that guests can enjoy on their car radio as they drive through the light display at Goodyear’s Ballpark.

“There’s nothing like it in the Southwest Valley,” Debbie Diveney, marketing coordinator for Goodyear Ballpark, said in a press release. “This takes driving around to see Christmas lights to the ultimate level.”

The holiday light display route takes vehicles through decorations of giant candy canes, smiling snowmen and lighted arched pathways, the release said.

The holiday light display will run through Dec. 31. The cost is $25 per vehicle Mondays through Thursdays and is open 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Hours Friday through Sunday are 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., and the cost is $30 per vehicle.

Tickets can be purchased in advance online. Tickets reserve a 30-minute time slot for vehicles to arrive. While driving through the holiday light display, patrons are asked to stay in their vehicles for their safety.
