Elliott to direct marketing for Scripps Tucson radio stations

Scripps Media's Tucson radio stations have tapped Sharon Elliott as its new director of marketing and promotion.

Elliot, a Tuscon native and graduate of Catalina Magnet High, will head the company's marketing and promotions. She has extensive experience in promotion and marketing including previously serving with Journal, which is now Scripps. 

“Sharon’s prior experience in broadcast media, and her time spent serving the medical sector makes her an ideal choice for this position," Scripps Media/Tucson Radio Director of Operations Smokey Rivers said in a press release. "She brings skills in the digital and social space that will help us grow the reach of our brands and event production experience which will make our signature events even more formidable."

Elliot also previously served as marketing and communication and events manager for the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals. 

“I am very grateful to Leon Clark and Smokey Rivers for providing me with the opportunity to return home to Tucson and to once again work in the Tucson radio market," Elliot said in a statement.  "I am very excited for the opportunity to be part of the Scripps Tucson team and to work with such a wonderful group of talented individuals."
