The City of Buckeye recently launched a new web application that quickly had over 1,000 hits and notifications from residents regarding trash and recycling services.

The new "Waste Wizard" was launched a few months ago by the city and is designed to give residents easy access to the city's trash and recycling information.

The new site includes customer notifications on changes to trash or recycling services, sets account reminders,  and allows customers to download their collection schedules. In addition, customers can easily use the website's search tool to see if a specific item belongs in the trash or the recycling container.

Customers can also view a printed calendar of recycling and trash pickup schedules or report an issue with their collection service such as a missed pickup.

According to the city, the web widget is a partnership the Buckeye Public Works Department and Republic Services who hope to increase recycling awareness and participation to keep the city clean.

The "Waste Wizard" can be found at buckeyeaz.gov/solid-waste-recycling. Residents can also visit the city's public works department website at buckeyeaz.gov/solid-waste-recycling/ for more information. Residents can also call the city's solid waste department at 623-349-6000 for additional information.
