The Coconino County Superintendent of Schools is now accepting applications to fill three vacant seats on the Maine Consolidated Unified School District 10 Governing Board.

Risha VanderWey announced the open seats on the Main Consolidated Governing Board, in which board members will serve two-year terms ending on Dec. 31, 2020.

Those interested in submitting an application to serve on the board must be registered Arizona voters and also residents of the school district for at least one year prior to their appointment to the board.  Residents who are interested in applying for the seats on the Main Consolidated Governing Board may not be a district employee or the spouse of a district employee. 

Deadline to submit an application for a board seat is Jan. 31. After applications have been reviewed, a special advisory committee made up of district residents and a current board member will conduct interviews.

Applications may be downloaded at http://www.coconino.az.gov/schoolboardapplication or submitted by email to esorg@coconino.az.gov Applications submitted by email must have a live signature on the original application. Applications may also be submitted by fax to 928-526-1469 and also required a live signature on the original application.  Those who would like to drop off or mail their application may do so at 2384 N. Steves Blvd. in Flagstaff.
