The Town of Marana is seeking applications for its Citizens' Forum, a group designed to focus on a variety of issues affecting the town and then presenting recommendations to the Town Council.

The forum includes Marana residents, business owners and community partners who meet for two sessions each calendar year to discuss issues facing the town. The group then presents its discussions and recommendations to the Marana Town Council.

The Marana Citizens' Forum sessions include six 90-minute meetings held at 5:30 pm. on Thursdays at the Marana Municipal Complex conference center. The next session will begin Feb. 15.

The Marana Citizens' Forum was founded in 2011 to serve as a model for engaging residents and its community partners. Thirty-two delegates make up the forum and include representatives from Marana Health Center, Marana Chamber of Commerce, Northwest Fire District, Marana Unified School District, at-large citizen delegates and town council appointed delegates.

Applications remain in active status for one year from the time it was received. Interested applicants can visit www.maranaaz.gov/marana-forum to download and application.
