In honor of National African American History Month in February, the Goodyear Arts & Culture Commission is hosting an interactive lecture series featuring prominent local African-American artists Jimmy James Green and Kris Rhymes.

The lecture schedule is as follows:

Jimmy James Greene

Tuesday, Feb. 6, 7-8 p.m. - Goodyear Branch Library Community Room, 14455 W. Van Buren St.

The artist, educator and featured artist for Vision and Sound 2018 will use an interactive, moderated lecture to share his perspectives on the American experience.

Kris Rhymes

Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2-3:30 p.m. - Goodyear Branch Library Community Room, 14455 W. Van Buren St.

The artist and entrepreneur will use chocolate to create art as well as speak about his unique mediums and his passion for helping the youth.
