Julie Arendall has been selected to be Goodyear’s next city manager, effective Feb. 20.

Arendall was previously the deputy manager of the City of Peoria, which she joined in 2012 as the human resources director. Before that, she spent 12 years in Yavapai County, first as human resources director and then as county administrator in 2007.

Although she has spent the last 17 years in local government, she previously worked in the private sector as an executive-level human resources professional.

Arendall holds a Master of Public Administration from Grand Canyon University and a Bachelor of Business Management from Arizona State University. She will have an annual salary of $212,823.

Goodyear conducted its search through CPS HR Consulting. There were 58 applications and eventually four candidates were interviewed.
