Pima County to celebrate completion of 131-mile loop

On March 17, Pima County will throw a free, family-friendly party to celebrate the completion of The Loop, a 131-mile multi-use trail for cyclists, walkers, hikers, runners, walkers and equestrians.

The Loop Completion Celebration will be at:

- Brandi Fenton Memorial Park, 3482 E. River Road, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

- Kino Stadium North Complex, 2817 E. Ajo Way, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The theme of the Brandi Fenton Memorial Park party is Connecting Communities. It will include food, music, a procession, an equestrian demonstration, a dog show, presentations, and a visit with historians, National Park representatives, other groups. Pima Animal Care Center with also have pets up for adoption and a pet costume contest.

The theme of the Kino Sports Complex party is Fun and Fitness, which emphasizes healthy and sustainable living in Pima County. It will include a health fair, music, food and exercise demonstrations.
